Telegram Messenger Boys from 1935. During the 1930s the GPO started to explore ways of promoting its services to the public. The Belfast Post Office ran an exhibition on the history of the postal service which attracted over 170,000 visitors. These Telegram Messenger Boys sold over 5,000 issues of the 1 Penny Post Office Magazine at the Exhibition. Appeared in the Post Office Magazine July 1935.
