The British Postal Museum & Archive (BPMA) is the public identity of the Postal Heritage Trust. The BPMA cares for the visual, written and physical records of over 400 years of postal development. Our own British postal services helped to shape the modern world. And the BPMA works to make this human story of communication, industry, and innovation accessible to everyone.
This charitable trust was established in 2004 to manage the public records of The Royal Mail Archive, and to develop access to the museum collections of the former National Postal Museum. The BPMA is an independent charity. Our collections chart the history of Royal Mail and the British Post Office from the seventeenth century to the present day.
